Craft Company will focus on the East Coast treasures of the United States of America. States with a long history of true craftsmanship, like Pennsylvania and New York, will be our primary focus.
Pennsylvania is not only home to Yuengling Brewery, the oldest brewery in the United States founded in 1829 in Pottsville. In 2015, Pennsylvania produced more craft beer than any other state; roughly 4,060,000 barrels of craft beer. While it was only 88 craft beer breweries in 2011, there have been 90 new breweries mending their pots since, totaling 178 breweries in 2015. In 2010, an association of independent craft beer breweries, called "Brewers of PA" was founded, to support the political and economic interests of its members and colleagues, as they "believe in the nobility of brewing and hold dear the great traditions and history of Pennsylvania brewing."
What a massive rise of the craft beer scene the Empire State has witnessed since 2012. A total of 95 craft beer breweries were accounted for then, growing to an impressive 240 craft beer breweries during the next three years. Craft beer production rose by 26% during those years beating the national average by 6% and mounting to a production of almost 1,087,000 barrels of craft beer in 2015. In New York it is the New York State Brewers Association (NYSBA) promoting the common interests of its members and colleagues.
If you want to find out more about US craft beers check out the website of the Brewers Association. The Brewers Association is a not-for-profit trade association of brewers, for brewers and by brewers, to promote and protect American craft brewers, their beers and the community of brewing enthusiasts.
